Refunds & cancellations

Submitting an enquiry does not take payment. You can ignore a quote or decide not to proceed. No cancellation process is required for an unpaid enquiry.

While Stripe remains fail-closed on production, the site does not complete payable checkouts. Refund mechanics for card payments apply only after live paid orders exist.

Most CAKE WHORE desserts are prepared for a specific occasion, may carry personalised icing or design, and are perishable. For such goods, the usual distance-selling cooling-off right for change of mind often does not apply in the same way as for ordinary durable goods — especially once preparation has started or personalisation is underway.

ARCHITECT_DECISION_REQUIRED: the exact commercial cancellation window (for example hours before bake start, or before personalisation) has not been authorised in project documentation. Until that policy is set, treat cancellations of accepted made-to-order work as case-by-case with the platform and baker, and do not assume a free change-of-mind cancellation after acceptance.

Your statutory rights are not excluded. If goods are faulty, misdescribed, damaged in transit after a confirmed paid order, or not delivered, contact us with order details. We will work with the disclosed baker as needed to repair, replace, or refund as appropriate under applicable law.

Where a product is neither personalised nor exempt as perishable food prepared for you, mandatory consumer cancellation rules may still apply. Given the nature of this catalogue, assume most items are bespoke and/or perishable unless a listing clearly says otherwise.
